Joseph #4 - In this passage, Joseph tests his brothers to see if they have truly changed. We see an incredible transformation in his brother Judah, from selfishness to self-sacrificing love. Judah’s transformation teaches us that we are never too broken for God’s love to reach and transform us. When we experience God’s love through Jesus, we are set free from fighting for ourselves and empowered to lay down our rights for the good of others.

Joseph #3 - This sermon highlights how Joseph’s awareness of God’s presence sustained him through years of suffering in prison and slavery, freeing him to serve others and preparing him for the moment God raised him to lead Egypt. None of Joseph’s hardships were wasted—God used every circumstance to shape him for His purposes. He does the same with us. When we face trials, we can trust that God is with us, using even our hardest seasons to prepare us for future glory and to bless others.

Joseph #1 - In this series, the focus shifts away from Jacob and onto his kids - especially Joseph. Joseph receives some incredible promises from God but he has to wait awhile before they come true. Even in the waiting, even when they seem impossible, God’s promises are trustworthy.

Jacob #4 - Throughout this series, Jacob has been struggling to get ahead. In these chapters of scripture, Jacob has a strange encounter with God that transforms him so completely. Instead of relying on himself and acting out of his pride, we see Jacob rely on God in his weakness and approach Esau in humility.
(Genesis 29-30)
Jacob #3 - Jacob meets his match in Laban, who tricks him repeatedly. Yet God remains faithful to His promises. Through Jacob’s suffering and setbacks, God exposes Jacob’s old patterns of sin and begins reshaping him into someone who can truly receive and share blessing. Even when Jacob relies on superstition or his own schemes, God graciously provides and protects, turning deception into the path for His greater plan—including the lineage of Jesus through Leah. The sermon reminds us that when we face mistreatment or hardship, we can trust God’s provision and live faithfully, knowing He uses even suffering to transform us and bring blessing.

Jacob #2 - In this passage, Jacob must leave his home in the promised land after tricking his brother, Esau, into selling him his birthright and stealing Esau’s blessing from Isaac for himself. Now, Jacob is facing poverty and danger instead of the power and prosperity that he was promised. In this moment where everything is going wrong for him, Jacob meets with God. He sees that there is a connection between Heaven and earth and that through His angels, God provides for and protects his people. This is still true today. God sees you and cares about you, even when you are at your lowest point. And God still invites us to meet with Him today - through Jesus.
